How the generator decides
- Select the least-used players first so game counts remain within one when feasible.
- Within the same game-count group, prioritize anyone who had the previous bye.
- Search team pairings for the lowest repeated-partner cost.
- Only after partner cost, search court matchups for the lowest repeated-opponent cost.
- Show every unmet hard constraint and every nonzero soft cost.
The seed makes the result reproducible. The same roster, history, courts, labels and seed produce the same assignment.
